William “Will” Andrew Moore, 23 of Hawkeye, Iowa passed away unexpectedly Friday, November 1, 2024 at his home. William (Will) Andrew Moore was born April 13, 2001 in Decorah, Iowa to April (Neubauer) Moore & William “Bill” Moore.
They moved to Florida after Bill re-enlisted in the Air Force. After the passing of his mother in 2004, Will and Bill moved back to Iowa. Will’s dad met Mandi Smith in 2006, and they married in 2008. From that point on, Mandi raised Will as her own. Will also gained three sisters. It was a big adjustment for him to go from being an only child to be surrounded by a bunch of girls, but through the years, they all became close.
Will attended North Fayette School District from kindergarten through his freshman year of high school. He moved to Postville with his mom, Mandi and his sisters, where he finished attending high school and graduated with the class of 2019. Will worked for Franzen Underground Utilities. He loved his job and all those he worked with. He enjoyed spending time with his grandpa, Rich and helped him on the farm as much as he could. Will liked playing video gaming and was always the life of the party. There was never a dull moment with Will around, he was able to make a person laugh until they cried with his goofy behavior and things he would say and do.
Surviving Will are his father, Bill Moore; mother, Mandi Headington; three sisters, Alexis (Gale) Staake, Krysta (Zack) Murray, and Kiah Gerleman; two nephews, Frederick and Landon Staake, and one niece, Sadie Murray; one nephew to be born in March (to be named Colton William Gerleman); aunts, Crystal (Jason) Robins, Rachel Neubauer, Michelle Neubauer, Danielle Mittelstadt, Christy (Ryan) Flugum, Shawn (Frank) Fulsom and Angie Smith; uncles, Brian (Charlie) Neubauer and Karl (Lottie) Neubauer; grandparents, Richard Neubauer, Lynn Moore, and Vickie Rowray; and many cousins.
