Elnora Ruth Penrod 97, of Postville, Iowa passed away Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Good Samaritan Society in Waukon, Iowa. Elnora was born October 8, 1928 to Floyd and Bernice Dibler in Kendrick, Oklahoma. She attended grade school in Orlando, Oklahoma and graduated from high school in Covington, Oklahoma in 1957.
Elnora was united in marriage with Robert T. Penrod in Guthrie, Oklahoma. Four children were born to this union. Elnora sold Avon and loved baking, gardening and growing flowers. She was a member of the Community Presbyterian Church and was the church Deacon, Circle Leader and on the kitchen committee. Elnora was also a member of the Eastern Star.
Surviving Elnora are two children, Robert (Patricia) Penrod and Shirley (Dennis) Ford; grandchildren, Mary Beth (Gerett Guese) Penrod, Paul (Misty) Stadtmiller, Cory (Natasha) Ford and Crystal Ford; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Marie Penrod, Willa Guese, Cassidy Koehn, Chayton Nealy, Emma Nealy, Hayden Ford, Levi Ford and Micah Ford.
Preceding Elnora in death was her husband, Robert T. Penrod on September 24, 1999; children, Mary (Gene) Stadtmiller and Floyd Lee Penrod; grandchildren, Michael Joe Penrod and Mark Lee Penrod; parents, Floyd Dibler and Bernice Dibler Yates; step-father, Paul Yates; siblings, Garland Dibler, Flossie (George) Geller and Betty Fisher.
