Wanda Jean Kamp, West Union, Iowa, February 8, 2026

Wanda Jean Kamp, 56 of West Union, Iowa passed away Sunday, February 8, 2026 at her home. Wanda was born January 19, 1970 to Harold Sr. and Nila (St. Clair) Loyd in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She graduated from Oelwein High School with the class of 1988.

On July 4, 1989, Wanda was united in marriage with Russell Kamp. She worked many jobs throughout the years, mostly at Altwood in West Union. Wanda’s greatest joy was spending time with her family, her husband Russell, and her friends at Full Circle.

Wanda loved crafts, especially crocheting and making her own pins, necklaces, and other special pieces. Creating something with her hands brought her happiness, and she wore her handmade jewelry with pride. She also adored collecting and wearing necklaces, pins, earrings, bracelets, and rings. She loved soft rock, classic rock and roll, and especially country music.. Wanda found peace and happiness in fishing and spending time outdoors. One of her proudest accomplishments was winning a Gold Medal in the Special Olympics. Above all, she was happy, positive, and a true light in the lives of others. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcome, valued, and loved.

Surviving Wanda are her husband, Russell Kamp of West Union, Iowa; siblings, Nancy Sisk, Ruth Williams, Roger Williams, Hank (Bethany) Loyd and Dawn Loyd; in-laws, Leslie Kamp, Ricky Kamp, Randy Kamp, Dennis (Dawn) Kamp and Debra (John) Mincks; and many nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Clermont, Iowa.

A luncheon will follow at the Heritage Farm Park in Clermont, Iowa.

Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Clermont, Iowa is assisting the family with services.
