Steven Richard Blockhus, 74 of Marion, Iowa formerly of West Union, Iowa passed away Monday, April 27, 2026 at Maple Crest Manor in Fayette, Iowa. Steven was born September 26, 1951 to Richard and Edna (Nelson) Blockhus in West Union. He was raised in West Union and graduated from North High School. Steven proudly joined the United States National Guard in Oelwein, Iowa. He was a painter for Coe College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Steven enjoyed collecting Native American artifacts and trap wild animals.
Surviving Steven are his nephews, Josh, Cody and Dillon Baumler. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Edna Blockhus and a sister, Lisa.
A Graveside will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 1, 2026 at West Union City Cemetery in West Union, Iowa.
