Donna Jean Doyle, 83, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 following a short illness. She was born in Gays Mills, Wisconsin to Harold and Marie (Overboe) Natwick on May 1, 1938. Donna graduated from Prairie du Chien High School in 1956. She began her nursing career at General Hospital in Prairie du Chien and continued her nursing education at Winona Sate.
On July 28, 1956, Donna was united in marriage with James F. Doyle, Sr. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in McGregor, Iowa. Three sons were born to this union, Jay, James Jr., (twins) and Timmi Jon. They made their home in Marquette, Iowa.
Surviving Donna are her son, James (Vivian) Doyle of Manchester, Iowa and their children, Jackie, Bonnie and Grant; Jays’s children, Jennifer, James and Rebecca; Timmi Jon’s children, Nicholas, Jamie, Mason, Aubrey and Lee; eleven great-grandchildren; one aunt, Naomi Anderson (NE); cousins, Robert, Gary and Conrad Overboe (MN); and nieces and nephews, Chris Baillie, Francis, Harold, Robert and Jeff Trumm (WI)
Donna was preceded in death by her parents; her only sister, Diane; her husband, James; and two sons, Jay and Timmi Jon.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am with a 9 to 11am Visitation on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at Thornburg-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in McGregor, Iowa
Burial will be at St. Pius Cherry Mound Cemetery, rural Harpers Ferry, Iowa.
