Alvin T. Maier, 93, of rural Elkport, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2022, at the Elkader Care Center. He was born April 9, 1928, on the family farm, rural Elkport, to Emil and Anna (Schaub) Maier. He was the youngest of 12 children. Â Alvin spent his entire life in the area helping on the home farm, as well as working with area farmers.
Survivors include several nieces and nephews.
Alvin was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Frederick (Alma) Gerloff, Viola, Martin (Pearl) Waterman, Herman (Iona) Schuety, Guy (Florence) Ernst, Marvin, Verda, Grace, George, Arthur and Anna Mae.
