Rosemary “Romey” Cashman, 71, of Harpers Ferry, Iowa died Thursday, September 29, 2022 at her home in Harpers Ferry, Iowa. Rosemary was born July 27, 1951 to Carroll “Mac” and Bonnie (Nellis) McCampbell in Waterloo, Iowa. She graduated from West High School with the class of 1969 in Waterloo, Iowa. Romey continued her education at Hawkeye Community College for accounting.
In 1969, Romey was united in marriage with Richard Stratton, two children were born to this union. They later divorced. Romey was united in marriage with Donald Cashman in 1984. She worked in accounting and as service manager for Community Motors in Cedar Falls, Iowa for many years. She enjoyed sewing, doing crafts and cooking. Romey’s greatest joy was spending time with family, friends and her beloved dachshunds.
Surviving Romey are her two children, Teresa Stretton -Lehman of Greene, Iowa and Jason Stratton of New Windsor, Illinois; five grandchildren, Lauryn Lehman, Logan (Haley) Lehman, Connor (Madison Goodley) Lehman, Kenna Milliken and Taylor (Alex) Swanson; two great-grandchildren, Wrenlee Lehman and Mila Swanson; three siblings, Ronald “Mac” (Sharon) McCampbell, Carolyn “Cork” Bird and Mark (Bonnie) McCampbell and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Cashman in 2018 and her parents, Carroll and Bonnie McCampbell.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
