Kim Allen Hofer, Waterloo, Iowa, December 8, 2022

Kim Allen Hofer, 62, of Waterloo, Iowa passed away quietly at his home at Harmony House in Waterloo surrounded by family members on Thursday, December 8, 2022. Kim spent his childhood years at Woodward, Iowa before moving to Waterloo, Iowa. Kim enjoyed music and outdoor activities with his Harmony House friends and especially his best friend and roommate.

Surviving Kim are his mother, Jean Hofer of Luana, Iowa. Brothers, Kevin (Debbie) Hofer of Walker, Louisiana, Mark Hofer of Nevada, Iowa, and sisters, Barbara Hofer of Luana, Iowa and Jolene Hofer of Charles City, Iowa; his uncles, Philip Hofer of Luana, Iowa, James (Sue) Hofer of Huntsville, Alabama, Mike (Lollie) of Omaha, Nebraska, Lowell Gehring of Kearney, Nebraska; aunts, Susan (Ted) Hughes of Postville, Iowa, Bonnie Lockenvitz of Mora, Minnesota, Velma Hofer of Oregon, Elaine Gehring of West Union, Iowa and Margie Walter of Jacksonville, Florida.

Preceding Kim in death were his father, Ronald Hofer; sisters-in-law, Beverly (Kevin) Hofer, Beverly (Mark) Hofer; uncles, Richard Hofer, Duane Walter, Willis (Bill) Walter, Henry Lamphere; aunts, Gloria (Henry) Lamphere, Linda (Philip) Hofer,

A Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm on Friday, April 14, 2023 at Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Monona, Iowa.

A Graveside Service will be at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at Wagner Township Cemetery, rural St. Olaf, Iowa.
