Charles Bruce McClintock, 85, of Elgin, Iowa passed away, Monday, July 3, 2023, at his home. Charles was born May 18, 1938, to Claude and Mary (Kassler) McClintock in New Lexington, Ohio. He graduated from New Lexington Public Schools in 1956. Charles proudly joined and served in the United States Air Force from 1957 to 1960.
Charles married Joyce Taylor in 1960 at Volga, Iowa. Four children were born to this union. They later divorced. Charles married Shirley Baldwin in 1975 at Mansfield, Ohio. Through the years Charles worked a variety of jobs which included making toilets for fifteen years at Borg Warner and driving truck for Perfection Company in Ohio. He enjoyed working on old farm machinery and hit and miss motors. He also restored an MGB in the 1980s. He listened to instrumental and country western music all his life.
Surviving Charles are his children: Mike (Diane) McClintock of Elkader, Iowa, Patty (Rob Mackay) McClintock of Cassville, Wisconsin, Vicky (Randy) Flatjord of Cresco, Iowa, and Debbie (Laverne Weber) Meyer of Portage, Wisconsin; stepson, Al Ratliff of Galion, Ohio; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; siblings: Fern Romine of Zanesville, Ohio, Sharon Carney of New Lexington, Ohio and Donna (Earl Kane) of Lancaster, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his wives: Joyce McClintock, and Shirley McClintock; parents, Claude and Mary McClintock; three brothers: Jim McClintock, Fred McClintock and Doug McClintock; and a sister, Barb Holden.
