Marni Kay Donovan, Oelwein, Iowa, February 24, 2017

Marni  Kay Donovan was born on March 9, 1950 in Iowa City, daughter of Robert and Arlie (Steckly) Donovan.  She passed away  at Oelwein Health Care Center surrounded by love on February 24, 2017.

Her home was in Fairbank, Iowa where she resided with her Goodwill Family.  She attended North Star in Waterloo, Iowa which she thoroughly enjoyed and had many friends there.

She is survived by three sisters Linda(Stephen) McHale, Kathy (Marv) Cook and Bobbie (Galen) Pettengill, one sister in law Deanna Donovan and 7 nieces with one being her special guardian, Brooke Pettengill along with a very extraordinary group of friends Jennifer, JulieAnn, Charlene, Kim and Alice.

Preceding her in death were her parents and her brother Tom.

Marni was a woman of no words but spoke volumes from her heart and eyes.    She enjoyed the simple things in life.  The joys of nature, watching the birds, going for a ride to see the countryside, shopping at Wal-Mart and enjoying a Casey’s donut and Freddie’s French fries.

She will be missed by so many.  In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Goodwill or Cedar Valley Hospice.

A time of remembrance will be at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at Marni’s house in Fairbank, Iowa.
