Aloha C. Franklin, 91, of Marion, IA, passed away on April 28, 2017, at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids. She was born in Antigo, WI, on July 11, 1925, to Fred and Fran (Fosterling) Rusch.
Aloha was united in marriage to X.L. (Frank) Franklin on August 30, 1946, in Seattle, WA. She was employed by the Linn-Mar Community Schools for 20 years. Aloha was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection. She was also an organ donor.
Survivors include two daughters, Barb (Jerry) Heil, Port Angeles, WA and Donna (Mike) Anderson, Elkader, IA; three grandchildren, Matt (Heather) Anderson, Darcy (Jeff Bates) and Bill Heil (Jennifer Oneil-Salki); two great grandchildren DeAnna and Daniell, and one sister Elgin Strobel. Aloha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and one brother.
Visitation:Â One hour before the service at the church on Tuesday.
Memorial services: Â 11:00 a.m on Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection in Marion. Pastor Dennis Johnson will officiate.
Inurnment: 4:00 p.m.Tuesday, May 9, 2017, at East Side Cemetery, Elkader, IA.
