Colleen Dawn Hunter, 62, of Hills, Iowa died Saturday, August 11, 2018 at University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in Iowa City, Iowa. Colleen was born April 4, 1956 to Curtis Henkes and Judy (Schave) Chickering in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin. She graduated high school at MFL in Monona, Iowa. After high school Colleen attended Cosmetology in Calmar, Iowa.
Colleen worked as a Courier for Bei-Delivery. She enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and going to the casino. Colleen loved spending time with family and friends.
Colleen is survived by her mother, Judy Chickering of Harlan, Iowa; one son, Mike (Bridget) Needham of Dallas Center, Iowa; two grandchildren, Austin and Zachary Needham; and her siblings, Cheri Huff of Farmersburg, Iowa and Corinne Henkes of Dubuque, Iowa.
Colleen was preceded in death by her father, Curtis Henkes; and one sister, Crystal Mielke.
Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Monona, Iowa with Rev. Erika Kielstrup as the officiant. There will be a one hour visitation before services at the church on Saturday.
Burial will follow at Monona Cemetery, Monona, Iowa.
