LauraLynn Lee Carmody, 71 of West Union, Iowa passed away, Saturday, February 14, 2026 at Emplify Health in La Crosse, Wisconsin. She was born to Karl and Dorothy Mae (Mixdorf) Eickhoff in Iowa. LauraLynn graduated high school in Ava, Missouri.
On September 3, 1977, LauraLynn was united in marriage with David Carmody. Two children were born to this union. Throughout the years, LauraLynn worked and Norby’s, Upper Iowa, Lands End and Palmer Hospital. She enjoyed playing cards and dice games, and loved all animals. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving LauraLynn are her husband, David Carmody of West Union, Iowa; two children, Brad (Julie) Carmody and LeeAnn Carmody; grandchildren, Brady Carmody, Khloe Bennington, Lexi Carmody and Ayden Ledesma; and her sisters, Mica Brooke, Lisa (Drace) Feston, Gina Eickhoff and Yvonne (Terry) Rogers.
Preceding LauraLynn in death are her parents, Karl and Dorothy Eickhoff; and her sister, Karla Eickhoff.
Family services are planned to take place in Missouri.
Burnham-Wood-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of West Union, Iowa is assisting the family.
