Jeanette Ann Krambeer, Monona, Iowa, February 17, 2026

Jeanette Ann  Krambeer,  93  of  Monona,  Iowa  passed away  Tuesday,  February 17, 2026  at  Spurgeon  Manor in Dallas Center, Iowa, where she was receiving rehab services. Jeanette was born August 28, 1932 to Roy and Effie (Martin) Saacke on the family farm in rural Farmersburg, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg and remained a member for 93 years. Jeanette attended Gooding Country School, Farmersburg Public School, and graduated from Monona High School in 1951.

On March 28, 1954, Jeanette was united in marriage with LuVerne Krambeer at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg. Three children were born to this union. They farmed in rural Farmerburg from 1954 until they moved to Monona in 1981. Jeanette worked in the lab at Swiss Valley Farms in Luana for over 21 years before retiring, then worked in the Monona school lunch room for another 11 years. She was active in the church, sitting on the church council, teaching both bible and Sunday school, serving as Sunday School Superintendent, and was the ELCA Secretary. She was also a founding member of the Cherry Chums 4-H Club, and served as leader for many years. She enjoyed being a member of the Farmersburg Ladies Bowling team. She also enjoyed sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, canning and fishing. Jeanette’s greatest memories were any time spent with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved the many fishing days spent with LuVerne, and family vacations to Florida, Minnesota, South Dakota, Missouri, and Wyoming.

Surviving Jeanette are her children, Lindsey (Kimberly) Krambeer of Farmersburg, Karman (Tom) Crawley of Altoona, Iowa and Lynette (Wendall Morney) Krambeer of Des Moines; four grandchildren, Lucas Krambeer of McGregor, Kenna (Alex) Hamilton of Amana, Bailey (Kurt) Sander of Altoona, Dillan (Taylor) Crawley of Des Moines; six great-grandchildren, Lyvea Krambeer, Annabelle and Harper Hamilton, Wayklin Sander, Nora and Miles Crawley; her siblings, Robert (Joyce)  Saacke of Farmersburg, Iowa and Ramona Hoyem of  Des  Moines; and sisters-in-law, Marilyn Baade of Monona and Judy Walter of Luana.

Jeanette was preceded  in  death by her husband LuVerne Krambeer; parents, Roy and Effie Saacke; and sister, Dorothy Nuehring; brothers-in-law, Marlyn Nuehring, John Hoyem, Gene Baade, Jim Walter, Duane Lamker and sister-in-law, Verda Lamker.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am with a visitation from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, February, 24, 2026 at St. John Lutheran Church in Farmersburg, Iowa with Rev. Jeremy Wolfe as the Officiant.

Burial will be at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Monona, Iowa.
