
Robert (Bob) Calvin Krousie, 81, of Waterville, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 8, 2026 surrounded by family and friends, following a brief battle with cancer.
Robert was born May 29, 1944, to Robert and Mildred (Martens) Krousie of rural Postville, Iowa. Bob attended school in the Monona School District. Through his years of employment, Bob held positions with the Volney and Anamosa Creameries, before moving to Cedar Rapids, working various jobs at local manufacturing companies. In 2007, he retired after 20+ years with the PMX Industries.
In retirement, Bob and his fiance, Helen, built a home in the Waterville, Iowa area where they enjoyed gardening and taking care of their expansive property. Bob enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, foraging for morels in the spring, and anything involving the outdoors. He was very proud of all of his children and grandchildren, and enjoyed spending time with them. In addition, Bob enjoyed playing Yahtzee and going to the casino. He had many friends and knew how to have a good time. Bob lived life to the fullest.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Jim, sister-in-law Linda (Terry) Krousie, and niece Tracey (Krousie) Lyons.
Bob is survived by his children; daughter Renee (Greg) Hill, sons Rob (Dawn) Krousie, and Jon (Kristin) Krousie. Grandchildren Stephanie Hill, Courtney (Dane) Schaffer, Spencer Hill, Camille Krousie, Olivia (Zach) Townsend, Clay Krousie, Ashlyn Krousie, Cade Krousie, and Teagan Krousie, 3 great grandchildren; Kollyns and Axel Townsend, and Dax Schaffer, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his fiancée, Helen McGeough, her children, Michele, Emily, Morgan, and Erica, her 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren. Bob was blessed to have a treasured relationship with his ‘BFF’, Herman King, who shared his home with Bob and his family through Bob’s Hospice journey. Surviving Siblings Terry Krousie, Mike (Kathy) Krousie, Barb (Mike) Schulte, and Kevin (Ellen) Krousie, as well as sister-in-law Anita (Jim) Krousie.
A private family inurnment will be held at the Rossville Cemetery.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
Leonard-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Monona, Iowa assisted the family with arrangements.
