Connie Kay Duffield, 62, of Postville, Iowa died Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wisconsin. Connie was born July 4, 1957 to LaVerne and Delores (Hesse) Wedo in Postville, Iowa. She graduated from Postville High School in 1976.
Most of Connie’s life she was a Homemaker, but also worked at the Turkey Plant in Postville. She loved being with her grandchildren and enjoyed camping and fishing.
Connie is survived by her children, Michael (Shalane) Duffield of Burr Oak, Iowa, William (Mandy) Duffield of Elkader, Iowa, Jessica Duffield of Postville, Iowa and Samantha Duffield of Spearfish, South Dakota; fifteen grandchildren; two brothers, Larry Peterson of Arizona and Randy Wedo of Ossian, Iowa; and one sister, Cheryl Bock of Postville, Iowa.
Preceding Connie in death were her parents, LaVerne and Delores Wedo; and her aunts and uncles, Jane and Ed Boese, Irma Van Way, Louis and Eileen Wedo and Donald Hesse.
Visitation will be held 4-8 pm on Tuesday, January 28, 2020 at Schutte-Grau Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Postville, Iowa. There will also be a one hour visitation before services at the church on Wednesday.
Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Community Presbyterian Church in Postville, Iowa with Rev. Kate Rupert as the officiant.
Burial will follow at Postville Cemetery, Postville, Iowa.
