Dr. Ronald Abbott, 86, of Randalia, Iowa died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Palmer Lutheran Hospital, West Union, Iowa. Ronald Thomson was born November 25, 1930 to Sydney and Margaret (McAllister) Abbott in Paisley, Renfrewshire, Scotland.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Virginia Abbott of Randalia, Iowa; seven children, Ronald Abbott of Storrs, Connecticut, Alexandra Abbott of Fayette, Iowa, David Abbott of Greer, South Carolina, Philip Abbott of South Bend, Indiana, Kathryn Quinn of Washington, DC, Brian Abbott of Iowa City, Iowa and Margaret Abbott of Seattle, Washington.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
